Welcome to Planet LeBaron!

This site is mainly concerned with documenting the repair and restore of my recently acquired 1992 LeBaron LX Convertible. As I work on the car, this website will grow and evolve.

When I bought the car I thought there would be a vast wealth of knowledge about them online - however, this was not the case. I found that many sites (many of them really good sites, too) are not SEO'd very well and do not show up in search engine queries. If we can't find these sites then we can't learn from them! This is why I created Planet LeBaron - it is my goal and intention that Planet LeBaron help others in their quest for information about these cars, to keep them running and in top shape.

I have been scouring the net in search of good informative links directly relating to these cars. All the links in Planet Lebaron are safe and virus-free according to Norton Symantec Internet Security 2009. You can click with confidence knowing I took the time to keep all our computers safe! During my search for information I noticed that a number of sites supposedly pertaining to these cars were nothing more than virus delivery systems. If Norton didn't like the link, it didn't make the grade, simple as that.

Planet LeBaron will be developed on an ongoing basis and if you would like to add to this site please feel free to email me. All pics, information and links to safe, active sites will be accredited to those who submitted the images or info as long as you let me know who you are!

On the History page I tell the story of how this LeBaron came to be mine in the first place. I should maybe mention that I wasn't actually looking for a LeBaron specifically when I went out shopping for a car back in July 2009, and at the time I knew NOTHING about them. I hadn't even heard of them up to that point! Good thing I learn quickly, lol:)

Nonetheless, I am enjoying my LeBaron very much and I will be sad to see summer go. In the Fall I am putting the LeBaron away for a long winter's nap inside and protected from the elements.

The true definition of sad? A convertible in the rain and snow :(

I have also just inherited a 1987 Plymouth Voyager (yes, another Mopar product) for my winter vehicle and it has been owned by my Mother since it came off the lot brand new in 1987. It is in IMMACULATE shape especially for its age (only 95,000 KM or 59,375 miles on it, original mileage). This minivan has sentimental value for me because it has been around in my family for more than half my life. You can view pics of the Voyager here.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and welcome to Planet LeBaron!
